In 2006, the plans for Emmanuel College and the future school initiated. Construction of the education facility began in 2007 and was completed before the school's opening, ready for the school's first year of education.
Notre Dame Campus will provide education to Year 7-11 in 2012 and will reach full capacity by 2013. Emmanuel College teaches in compliance with the Catholic Education Department of Victoria and provides a host of elective courses in addition to the core curriculum.
Five subjects remain cumpolsory until Year 10: English, Maths, Science, Humanities, P.E and Religious Education. When students reach their tenth year, Physical Education no longer becomes cumpolsory as more opportunities arise.
Elective subjects vary in accordance to the year of the student. Such subjects include: LOTE (Italian, Japanese), Wood Tech, Food Design and Technology, Art, Drama and Stairways (an enrichment program for high-achieving students).
Project Days are set aside each year, based on one particular subject, students of a certain year level have the entire day in which to complete a challenge. For instance a Technology Project Day in Year 7 could consist of constructing and planning a fully functioning robotic car. In Year 9, students participate in Project Week, a concept similar to a Project Day, lasting for the entire week. In 2011, Year 9 students explored Melbourne's City Central, with booklets to complete that challenged them to use public transportation, public communication skills and more.
The Notre Dame Campus currently enlists 67 staff.
The incumbent principal is Mr. Christopher Stock (BSc DipEd MEd B.Theol).
St. Paul's College's Director of Senior Studies and VCE Coordinator at the time, Mr. David Barr, was appointed as the new Campus Director for Notre Dame Campus as of its opening in 2008.
The VCE program will be implemented in 2012 at the Notre Dame Campus when it commences its Year 11 education.
